Let's face it, going back is hard at the best of times. The freedom that comes with being off for the summer-okay, no pay-but still not having to answer to a schedule, is wonderful! One of my favorite things was being able to enjoy my own children in a way not possible during the school year. I was in a mindset to play and we all were looking to have fun. From the pool to picnics and the trips-yea, summer felt like a wonderful dream. Waking from that state and going back was definitely not something any of us were in the mood to do. Now add the extra layer of Covid and all that goes with it, going back has to seem pretty daunting.
